Use video to get people listening to your radio show or podcast!

This hands-on course will introduce you to basic filming techniques. We will cover the fundamentals of video - from making short one-take videos on a smartphone and appearing on camera - to filming interviews with professional equipment and producing slideshows.

Led by Richard Hollingham from Boffin Media, an award-winning radio producer with extensive TV experience, and with specialist input from video editor Paul Ireson, this practical course will include:

• Fundamentals of video, including framing, lighting, sound, appearance, editorial considerations and what works in the edit (unfortunately, we will not be able to cover editing in this one-day course).

• Filming basic interviews and more complex sequences (including storyboarding)

• The opportunity to use professional TV kit, iPhone apps/tripods and gimbal plus GoPro.
